How to Make Steak Sauce


Steak Sauce
2 cups ketchup
1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
1 small onion, minced
½ cup lemon juice
½ cup water
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
½ cup vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Step1 Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil over medium heat.
Step2 Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes or more.
Step 3 Adjust ingredient amounts to taste.
Step4 Strain if desired. (I didn't)
Step5 Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
Step6 Store in air tight container or jar.

* I heat processed mine in a Water Bath for 15 minutes.

This is really good. I think it tastes just like A-1!
