House History

Amanda at This Reluctant Soil http://thisreluctantsoil.blogspot.com/ wrote about her refurbished home's history. What a great story. Such history.

But I suppose I know the history of my house too. The Family that built it lost the house in foreclosure. A "Flipper" bought it and spruced it up a bit and we bought it from him. Not quite as interesting but history just the same.

Do you know your houses history?

Thanks for sharing your story, Amanda. You are my Blog of the Week!

Hi Carolyn :)

I'll have to check that out. The history of the house we live in is short. The previous owners built it and we bought it. That's it. I hope this new house will have more of a story :)

I have always been fascinated with old houses and what their history is. Our house was built in 1930 and I know it has a story. I'm planning a trip down to the courthouse to see what I can dig up.

My history is awfully short! It was built, we bought it! I always wanted an old home and got this one to live in until Bill retired. But here we stay becasue we love the neaighbors and our little place. Maybe eventually we will find something else but the market will have to pick up before we can sell this one! *smile*

Love,
Sue

Thanks Carolyn!

I had a lot more information on an old computer that crashed---guess I have to go back and re-research it. Going to add to it as I remember/find stuff. The good news is that theoretically once the info is in cyber space, I can't lose it!
