Organic Milk

I am still trying to get the Hubs to eat better. It's a challenge but I keep trying.
I decided I would try some Organic Milk. I bulked at the price a little bit but it's better for me so it's worth it ....right?!?!?!

Conversation with the Hubs:

Hubs: What's with the Milk?

Me: What do you mean?

Hubs: It's a different container and it says Organic Milk.

Me: I know..... I thought we would try some. It is better for you. Remember.... we are trying to eat better?

Hubs: What does organic mean?

Me: It just means that the Cows are not feed anything they normally wouldn't eat and they don't get injected with hormones. They are free to roam in pastures and they eat grass.

Hubs: I don't want it.

Me: Would you just, Please, try it? The only difference is the Cows eat grass..... I swear!

He begrudgingly pours a small glass of milk..... and slowly takes a drink. (Mind you the whole while he is acting like I am making him drink battery acid)

Me: Well.... what do you think?

Hubs: I think I can taste the grass!!

Why do I even try????????????

Found you through Scooterblu's Whimsy and that was so funny. My husband does not like to try anything new either.

aw, that's funny.

I'm Mark's keeper, too. I have a regimen of mixing a glass of fiber juice every night after dinner, and feed ourselves a multi-vitamin and a fish oil capsule.

The organic milk sounds like a good idea. hm!

Hi Carolyn... this post is a Hoot! I could almost feel myself sitting there with y'all. I've seen your name around on several comments and have been wanting to visit... so glad I did! Please stop by for a visit anytime... my door is always open.

We gradually worked out way from 2% to whole milk after reading Nourishing Traditions and how fat is not the culprit it was touted as being (and still is by many). Once my husband began loving the whole milk, the switch to organic, and then finally raw milk only got better and better. I've been slower to acclimate to new tastes, but I do have to say, I'm ALL about that GOOD REAL MILK :) :)

Seriously? He didn't like the organic milk? I don't even like milk, and even I can tell that organic is so much better. It'll make you poor, but it tastes so much better and is so much better for you, I think the price is worth it. Maybe we should get a cow next . . .

Hi Carolyn, I've seen it but never tried it, but now that I've been schooled about it I think I'll give it a try. Thanks Deb

At this rate, you'll never get him to go vegan.
