An Easy Week for Homesteading

This week I did some shopping!

How ironic! My husband and I worked on finishing the trim in our basement. While we were cutting, I noticed a nice chunk of wood leftover from our log table project. Since the wood is untreated, I had him cut the top at an angle. I plan on drilling holes for the mason bees. I made one at our old house and they loved it. Must be mason bee day! Nice finds!

I've seen those mason bee houses and was pleased that they aren't that expensive. I'll likely have my hubby come up with something similar from recycled material. Will be interested to hear how yours does. :)
