Wishing for Spring......again

Yesterday it was 63 Degrees. Sunny and Beautiful!! Today it is 32 degrees. Rainy, Sleety and Snowy. I am so sick of the rain and snow!! I am sooooo wishing for Spring right now.

So I decided we would go on a Photo Field Trip!!! These are pictures I took at Wegerzyn Gardens in Dayton, Ohio.

Overview of Wegerzyn Gardens
Nestled in the Stillwater River valley, five minutes north of downtown Dayton, there is a magical place for nature lovers – Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark. The Wegerzyn Horticultural Center was founded in 1973 as the result of a generous gift by Benjamin Wegerzyn and the dedicated work of area garden clubs. The center and gardens are now a part of Five Rivers MetroParks and are dedicated to providing the Miami Valley residents with learning experiences in gardening, horticulture, the environment and urban land stewardship of the river corridor. Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark is bordered on the west by the scenic Stillwater River and on the east by a mature lowland swamp forest of sycamore, oak, red and silver maple, hickory and ash trees. The Stillwater River Recreation Trail passes through the park.

Features & Activities at Wegerzyn Gardens
Throughout the year, stroll through beautiful formal exhibition gardens, enjoy the world-class Children’s Discovery Garden, walk the Marie Aull Nature Trail and Swamp Forest Boardwalk, and discover the scenic Stillwater River corridor. Participate in gardening, natural science and environmental programs for all ages at the Wegerzyn Center. Every season has something special to offer.
