Free Radicals are scientifically documented to negatively impact Athletic Performance on multiple fronts:

• Lack of Energy & Fatigue
A high rate of free radical production interferes with your body’s ability to produce energy efficiently by damaging cell mitochondria - small membrane-enclosed regions that produce the chemicals cells use for energy - thereby contributing to fatigue & lack of energy.

• Muscle Fatigue, Damage & Soreness
Free radicals are believed to contribute to muscle fatigue, exercise-induced muscle injury, inflammation and soreness in athletes Exercise, though healthy in many ways, is known to dramatically increase the amount of free radicals generated by your body.

• Pre-Mature Aging
Free radical damage is now believed to be associated with most chronic disease processes, including heart disease, diabetes, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, and DNA damage leading to mutations and some types of cancer. Today, the most widely accepted model of the aging process is cumulative cell damage caused by free radicals.

I used the bHIP Energy drink today.  I was expecting the super sweet taste like the other energy drinks I have tried. It was not like that at all. It was fruity and just a little sweet. Just they way I like it. I don't like to be hit over the head with flavor and sweetness in my drinks.
bHIP Energy tastes like it is good for you!
It gave me lots of energy for HOURS with no crazy jittery feeling and no sugar crash afterwards. It also worked as an appetite suppressant for me. I have been battling with my hunger the past couple weeks. I felt like I was eating all the time. Today, with bHIP Energy, food was the furthest from my mind and I had a ton of energy to boot.  And with bHIP Energy, I am doing something good for my body, not just getting jacked on sugar and/or caffeine.

Noni GIA is an exciting new product from bHIP Global that is a blend of powdered Noni juice, pineapple juice and grape juice. The word Gia comes from the word "Energia" which means "Energy" in Spanish. Noni GIA supports your immune system by delivering a remarkable supply of antioxidants to help rid the body of harmful free radicals. It increases both energy and physical performance.

Pacific Islanders have enjoyed the health benefits of Noni fruit for over two thousand years. Without any sophisticated or advanced technologies, they have relied on the Noni plant for many medicinal uses. The modern medical world has taken note of the many benefits of the Noni plant.

I like Noni GIA, I think it tastes like a liquid Pez! A little sweet and fruity and little tart. Within a few minutes of finishing the drink, I felt more awake and alert. But no crazy burst of energy or buzz like some other drinks I have tried. I also like that it provides other benefits like the boosting the immune system and supporting the digestive system.

Other products available are:
Red H and Pink H

I also like that the formulas come in little packets that you add to water. I feel like I am getting a better value by not paying for the water. I think I am going to order more. I liked the way bHIP and Noni GIA made me feel!

Product Review- Pilot Pens

Look what Pilot Pens sent me to test out!!

Since 1972, Pilot has been a leader in the manufacturing and sale of the most innovative writing instruments in the USA!

The FriXion Erasable Family of products is the newest innovation. All Frixion products feature Pilot’s patented thermo-sensitive ink formula that disappears with friction. Allowing the user to write or highlight repeatedly with no wear or tear on the paper.I was given FriXion Ball Erasable Gel Pen and the FriXion Light Erasable Highlighter to test. Sounds like MAGIC but it really works! I’ll show you!

The before shot

see.....the "rocks" is gone!

All the ink is gone!!

All you can see is where I pressed down on the paper to write!

All the ink is gone!

Now lets try the highlighter........

All the Highlight is gone too!

Amazing!!!

My opinion is:

Pilot FriXion really works!!!

Another Pen that was in my trial pack was the Pilot G2. I was all ready familiar with this product. My Husband is a Police Officer and his pen of choice is the Pilot G2. He loves the contoured rubber grip and the Gel Ink Formula that is smooth writing and smear proof.

He says they are great for writing speeding tickets!

He uses his G2 for all of his paperwork.

My favorite was the Dr. Grip Gel Ink Pen. The ergonomic cushion grip was great. I have arthritis in my hands and writing can sometimes be painful. I used the Dr Grip Gel Ink Pen at my Customer Service job and it really helped with hand fatigue with all the writing that I do. In fact, The Dr Grip Gel Ink Pen was commended by The Arthritis Foundation for ease of use. It is also refillable with G2 or Q7 refills.

Other pens included in the pack were:

V Ball RT
Precise V5
Precise Grip
Easy Touch Pro- these were another favorite of mine!

At Pilot, their goal is not to be the biggest supplier, but rather the best in terms of quality and consumer satisfaction. Pilot is fairly committed to always provide their customers with the best quality writing instruments in the world.

Here at The Barber House, we think they are doing a fine job. We use Pilot products everyday!

Thanks Pilot!

Product Review- The Hollywood Cookie Diet

Remember when you were young and your Mom told you, "Don't eat that cookie, or you'll lose your appetite!" But that is the secret behind the Number One diet sweeping the nation…The Hollywood Cookie Diet®! Losing (or actually satisfying) your appetite is exactly what you want to do if you want to lose weight. And what better way than by enjoying a treat you really love? Cookies!

The Hollywood Cookie Diet® is the easiest diet ever and it works because it is based on caloric restriction using meal replacement and portion control. Simply eat up to four cookies a day, replacing breakfast and lunch, and eat a sensible dinner. Eat a cookie for breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch and mid-afternoon snack. The Hollywood Cookie Diet works because it is a low calorie diet based on caloric restriction by meal replacement and portion control.

Each cookie is individually wrapped for eating on-the-go. Take a tasty meal with you to the office, on the plane, on the road, to the gym, or anywhere else you go. Each cookie is also a good source of fiber and protein.

The Hollywood Cookie Diet

My Review:
I work midnight shift. So I eat a little different than other folk. I get up around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I am usually hungry but like to wait and eat dinner with Hubs when he gets up. I thought the Hollywood Cookie Diet would be a great snack before dinner and a great meal replacement in the middle of the night when I am working.

The Cookies have 150 calories, 3 grams Fiber, 5 grams Protein and 9 grams of Sugar. The Chocolate Chip Cookie was moist and yummy! The Oatmeal Cookie was my favorite. It was actually better than some homemade Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I have had. You can see the whole grain and the Raisins in there!
I really think these Cookies could pass for regular cookies! I liked the size and shape of the cookie too.....it is not like those wimpy 100 calorie treats you find in the store. It is thick, moist and delicious. I enjoyed the cookies with a glass of milk and it really made me feel like I was cheating!

The Hollywood Cookie Diet worked great for me!

Product Review- Zicam

The ragweed counts have been thru the roof here in OH. My eyes were stinging, itching and burning. My nose was congested and I had some serious sinus pressure.

I finally had enough and realized I need to take something. I dreaded the foggy feeling you get when you take allergy meds. So I specifically looked for something that was non-drowsy. I happened across the Zicam Allergy Relief Gel Swabs. I saw it was non drowsy and homeopathic too. I thought I would give it a shot

I am pleased to report.....It works! My eyes are better and I can breath out of my nose now!! I have been using for a week now and love it. No drowsy feeling and no other side affects.

I am going to stock up and have some on hand in case the ragweed counts go up again and for my emergency medicine kit we keep with our food storage.
