What I am Watching

This movie comes out today. We are planning on seeing it. I imagine that it will a Hollywood-ized version of Survival with no real survial tips or skills revealed but a bunch of people running away from inferno's and falling buildings. But we will see.............
2012
Disaster movie maven Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow) crafts this apocalyptic sci-fi thriller following the prophecy stated by the ancient Mayan calendar, which says that the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. When a global cataclysm thrusts the world into chaos, divorced writer and father Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) joins the race to ensure that humankind is not completely wiped out.

What I am Watching

The 100 Mile Diet

Based on the book "100 Mile Diet: A Year of Local Eating'' and hosted by its authors, Alisa Smith and James MacKinnon, this series challenges the citizens of one Canadian town to survive for 100 days on food that originates within 100 miles of that town. The part-docusoap, part-social experiment unfolds chronologically and focuses on the personal story lines that develop as the townsfolk weather the ups and downs of the 100 Mile Diet.

What is your favorite epic Movie?
P.S. - Movie night at home is very budget friendly.
In fact.......Way cheaper than going to the Theaters.
Just make it special!
Like I said....pop some corn, dim the lights and crank the surround sound.

What I am Watching- You've got Mail

You've got Mail is one of my favorite movies. I could watch it over and over again. In fact I do! Something about the Fall makes me want to watch it. Maybe it is the line in the Movie..... "I love fall in New York. It makes me want to buy school supplies." I feel that way every fall!

So on a beautiful fall day, I curled up on the couch with a cup of tea and pressed play. I love how New York is like a character in the movie. I love the chemistry between Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. I love her Store. I love the ending, It makes me cry EVERY time I watch it. Ok..... I love everything about this movie!

What is your favorite Movie?

What I am watching

Lars and the Real Girl

Ryan Gosling plays the title character in this oddball comedy about a delusional young man who buys a life-size sex doll over the Internet -- and then falls in love with her. When the besotted young man starts telling people that the doll is his girlfriend, his brother and sister-in-law decide it's time to intervene in this film co-starring Patricia Clarkson, Emily Mortimer, Kelli Garner and Paul Schneider.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It may sound dirty and riddled with sex...... But it is not. It is an unexpected lesson on love and how we should treat people.
Try it...... I think you might like it!
Sex in the City
Sex in the City : The Movie.............................LOVED IT!!!
It was like spending 2 hours with old friends.
Seriously........it was really good!!!
What I am watching
Sex in the City : The Movie
I am going to see this today. I was a big fan of the series and can't wait to catch up with the Girls!
With my Hubs out of town with the boys, I thought I would go see it. There would be NO way I could drag him to see this chick flick!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So your asking...."What did you do with yourself on Friday night?Did you go out drinking and dancing?" Hell No!! I am too old for all that stuff. I stayed home and had a Beauty Night. I gave my self a pedicure and a facial, listened to some nice music and relaxed. Nothing exciting but it was fun.
We had some really bad storms roll thru last night. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, Wind and Hail. So I was restless for a couple hours while they were coming thru but I did sleep in a little later.
Have a great Weekend!

The Memory Keeper's Daughter

About the Movie:

But when a doctor's wife has twins, one of whom has Down syndrome, this physician makes the difficult decision to send one of his babies away. An attending nurse discovers his plan and intervenes, putting into motion events that will haunt the doc, his wife and his son for the next 20 years. This all-star movie features Dermot Mulroney,Gretchen Mol and two-time Oscar nominee Emily Watson.

Based on The New York Times best-selling novel, Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Review:
I liked the Book better than the Movie. If you had not read the book you might get a little lost or confused in the story. All in all it was a good movie for a lazy Sunday afternoon
What I am watching
Gone Baby Gone
When a 4-year-old girl goes missing in Dorchester, one of Boston's toughest hoods, private investigators Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro (Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan) reluctantly agree to take the case. But the investigation proves tougher, riskier and more complex than they could have imagined. Ben Affleck's directorial debut, adapted from the Dennis Lehane novel, also stars Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman and Amy Ryan (in her first Oscar-nominated role).
I really liked this movie. definitely better than I expected. It is one of those movies that makes you ask.....what would I do?
