Home Instead

I worked for Home Instead for the last time last night. I will say, I will miss it.

The little lady I was sitting with last night is totally ate up with Alzheimer's. She asks the same questions over and over and over again. I must have told her it was Tuesday a thousand times! But she was so cute when her Husband came to see her. They were just so sweet together. When I got ready to go, She told me that she liked me and didn't want me to go. (insert my heart melting here) She also wanted to know when I would come back (heart breaking here because the answer was never). Now granted......she forgot this whole exchange in a matter of moments but talking with a Alzheimer's patient is kind of like talking to a child. They speak the truth, even if they forget it 2 seconds later.

Another Job

More good news....... I got a job with this company:

I will be working as a At Home Customer Service Agent. I will train in their Call Center for 3 months and then I will be working from Home. The good news is, it is full time hours. On the down side, the shift is 10 pm to 6 am. But I will deal with that. Just means a change in sleeping habits.

I will work for Home Instead until I start with UTC in 3 to 4 weeks. As much as I like the idea of working with the elderly, Home Instead can't guarantee me full time hours. And full time hours is what we need right now.

I got a Job!

I was hired as a Non Medical Caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care. I am very excited. I love working with the elderly. I can't wait for my first client.

It seems in all of my jobs, I was taking care of someone else. This wrecked my body and now I am Medically Retired and taking care of myself.

My favorite Jobs were Nursing Assistant in the Nursing Home. Unit Clerk in the Emergency Room, Day Care Provider at Days of Discovery and being a Deputy Sheriff with Greene County.
