Remember the homemade Dog Treats I made????

I gave some to my Mom yesterday to give to her two little Dachshunds Abby and Gabby.

Also have to tell you what your Dad did. I had that bag of dog treat on the table. He got home before I did - didn't know what they were - yep - you guessed it - he ate a couple!! Asked me what in the hell they were when I got home - what a laugh for both of us and now you too!!

Update on Dad

Dad got to come home yesterday. He is still dealing with pain but at least he is home.
He is going to be a difficult Patient though. He thinks and wants to swing right back to where he was before the surgery. Mom and I kept having to remind him that he had major surgery and it would take a little while for him to heal and feel better.

Mom's gonna have her hands full!!

Update on Dad

Dad is doing better. He sat up in chair yesterday for a little bit. He is still battling the pain though.

We talked to the Dr. yesterday. I guess she took out ALL 23 feet of intestine out to check for any perforations. Isn't that amazing that all that could come out and then go back in (in no particular order) and still work. The amazing body!

My Dad

My Dad had Emergency Surgery last night.

He and Mom had the flu and Dad didn't get any better and lost 8 lbs in 2 Days. His Dr. wanted him to go to the ER to get checked out. During his testing they found that he had "Free Air" in his abdomen. Not knowing where it was coming from required him to have the exploratory surgery tonight.

The good knew is the Dr found nothing of great concern. She felt it might have been some sort of perforation or leak somewhere that had burst but then sealed itself. Or a "Air Cyst" that had burst. They had to make a pretty good incision to check everything out so He will be in the Hospital for a couple days
